Simple shaped, without decoration, handcrafted ceramics at the potter's wheel of Pottery Factory De Rijn. Mark/backstamp: NV De Rijn Leiderdorp Holland.
Hand turned/thrown pottery, stoneware, tile-sceneries and garden-sculptures. In deep plain colours, dinnerware. Founder was Herman Zaalberg. Oriental inspired ceramics in small series. Changed name in 1925 Aardewerkfabriek De Rijn NV, after that into Potterij Zaalberg.
