De Toekomst, Aardewerkfabriek NV

Poured ceramics, pottery gnomes and childerns dinnerware sets before 1945 by Aardewerkfabriek/Pottery Factory De Toekomst. After World War II mass production by extreme mechanization, first complete dinner sets, later on contemporary (big demand) cups & saucers with black/white dots outside, pastel colours inside, sold under name Eastwood in Engeland.

Rival Sphinx-Ceramique takes over De Toekomst in 1960, after that Sphinx regulates 50 per cent of the dinnerware market. Every year three million cups and saucers were distributed internationally and 1 million went straight to the departmentstores of the Hema.
