Haga, Plateelbakkerij

Plateelbakkerij Haga, this pottery factory was specialized in figures/sculptures and Nieuwe Kunst/New Art vases. Joint venture of NV Terracotta- en Aardewerkfabriek Haga and Weduwe N. Brantjes.

Decorative art pottery: adjustment of Brantjes ceramics, more graphical and contrast colours, more geometrical, no longer symmetrical, shape and decoration are supportive of each other, inlay-decorations by Chr. van der Hoef. Tile-sceneries: smooth under-glaze painted tiles & relief-tiles with lustre glaze. (geometrical decorated) Dinnerware sets and figures, designed by famous sculptors, like romantic sculptures. Experiments with lustre & metallic glazes on vases with Japanes influenced figural decorations, like dragons, fish, butterflies and other insects.
